Don’t miss the Pittsburgh stop of the US tour of The People United by the renowned Italian pianist Emanuele Arciuli, a specialist of US 20th century composers, with pieces written for him by such masters as George Crumb, Milton Babbitt, and Fred Rzewski himself.

The Fall of the Empire, a collection of pieces written over 15 years with and for percussionist Allen Otte, on quotes by Thomas Jefferson, texts from Rzewski and Otte themselves, passages from Mark Twain, Oscar Wilde, Charles Dickens, … A kind of drama, a 21st-century retelling of the same story.
